Five Friday Finds

Oh, Friday… I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to see you! It’s been a long, exhausting week and I’m very happy to say that the high point was definitely ski school on Wednesday (when things finally started to click!). I had to be on the road a lot for work this week (and will next week as well) and have been feeling like I’ve been playing catch-up all week. But I guess that’s what happens when you take the whole day off on Wednesdays to go skiing.

I’ve got a few things on the horizon that I’m so excited to share with you guys- so look out for some fun posts and giveaways coming at you in the next two weeks! I’m not going to completely hold out on you though- so here’s five things that I am loving lately (and wanted to share with you today!):

1. Kidecals Custom Labels, Keycals and Other Awesome Things

A locally based company called Kidecals was kind enough to reach out to me last month and offer to send me some goodies from their catalog. I had trouble choosing exactly which items to pick because there were so many things that I liked and could find a good use for. Ultimately, I chose the Colorado Flag keycals and a sheet of Plaque Chalkboard Labels. I plan to put the chalkboard labels on mason jars that I use to hold various grains and dried legumes. I put the keycals on my laptop right away:

Isn’t that the coolest?!

There’s a ton of different designs of keycals to choose from, but naturally I went right for the Colorado flag. The stickers are super easy to put on and come off easily if you want to remove them. They don’t leave a residue on your keys either! I love having the personalized flair on my laptop and representing my Colorado pride!

If you need any kind of custom labels made, check out the variety of designs that Kidecals offers. They have everything from organizing labels to name labels to wall decals and much, much more. If you’re interested in ordering your own custom labels, keycals or anything else that Kidecals has to offer, check out their site and use the code mountains2014 for 15% off your entire order. The code is valid until March 1st!

2. Multi-Color Stacking Bowls from World Market

I’ve had these bowls since early fall and use them almost every single day! They are the perfect size for so many different things and I love the bright colors! I also love that they stack right inside of each other and stay neatly inside a wire rack.

3. Raw Cashews

cashews

There’s not much explaination needed here- I just love cashews! I’ve been eating the roasted, salted variety for a while but recently picked up a bag of raw cashews from the bulk section at Whole Foods. The raw nuts have such a different flavor- they’re more buttery and sweet. I like eating them right out of the bag, but see some nut butter making in the near future.

4. Jamberry Nails in Wild Berry

wild berry

As you probably know, I love my funky nails. There have definitely been a few designs that I’ve worn in the last year that I’ve really liked, but this is my current favorite. It’s also one of the designs that I’ve received the most compliments on! I love the subtle, feminine design and the mix of purple, pink and white. You can browse through Jamberry’s catalog here – and all designs are buy 3 get 1 free!

5. Tera’s Whey in Organic Dark Chocolate

teraswhey

I’ve tried the bourbon vanilla flavor of Tera’s Whey in the past and love the taste. The problem is- it’s quite expensive and I go through protein powder pretty quickly (and I do love my Designer Whey!). Sprouts has been having a 25% off sale of their entire wellness department which include items such as shampoo, make-up, vitamins, supplements and protein powder. I took the plunge and picked up a canister of the dark chocolate flavor of Tera’s Whey without every trying it before. I was not disappointed! It’s SO good- and I can see why it’s so pricey! I’ve been making super thick shamrock smoothies with it ever since and have a feeling that this canister won’t last very long.

If you don’t live near a Sprouts you can also pick up a can of Tera’s Whey on iHerb.com for a pretty decent price (and use code QIR197 for $5 – $10 off your first order and free shipping for orders over $20!).

That’s all for now- have a fabulous Friday!
